Should CCP put more effort into rewards for loyal customers? The mystery code from the collector’s edition hasn’t seen much use and whilst veteran rewards have been mentioned by CCP several times at Fanfests, we have seen nothing. Wasn’t there talk of a special station only 10-year vets could dock in at one point?
Is this lack of gratitude towards loyal customers alienating? Do people wish for a change here? Is it too self-righteous to expect small signs of gratitude for being a loyal customer? Is a customer purchasing half a year in advance more loyal than someone plexing every now and than probably missing out a few weeks or months a year? How do CCP place rewards in game without hurting the economy?
Or is it just a case of there is no need and HTFU snowflake?
What have CCP ever given me… huh?
I am a ten year vet and I have nothing to show for it, no collectors edition, no special code, no awesome ship… oh, hang on –
Had a look through the aptly named stuff container and found this:
This little collection all arrived as free giveaways, although I might have bought the Test Bong somewhere.
There is no real value in any of these items but it seems they trade on contract and more and more of them are finding their way into the market place.
I then went and checked out the ship hanger and found over 2 billion Isk worth of freebee’s:

That doesn’t count the regular balance changes that saw mundane items like the Procurer rise in value from 3 million to 21 million in the space of 6 months. I made 14 billion on those alone.
I am not alienated by a lack of gifts, I get plenty each year and most of them I ignore. It isn’t why I play the game.
As a ten year veteran who has remained subscribed the whole time, I am nothing special.
I am a player who pays to enjoy a game. If CCP cut out the Yule Festival gifts this year I will not rage quit.
